Latest BI-Rate & Interest Impact Simulator
See Bank Indonesia's latest BI-Rate and simulate how a rise or fall in interest affects your loan instalments.
How it is calculated
- The BI-Rate is Bank Indonesia's policy rate, set at the monthly Board of Governors Meeting (RDG). The figures on this page are fetched automatically from Bank Indonesia's official website at regular intervals.
- A change in the BI-Rate does not automatically change your loan interest. Floating-rate mortgages and business loans usually adjust after some time, according to the bank's policy and your loan agreement.
- The simulation uses effective (annuity) instalments on the remaining loan and tenor: instalment = principal × i ÷ (1 − (1 + i)^−n), where i = annual interest ÷ 12.
100 bps (basis points) = 1 percentage point. A 25 bps increase means 9% interest becomes 9.25%.
